East Brighton Park located in the east of the city is a beautiful green space and one of the largest open spaces in the City where you can access Sheepcote Valley and the South Downs National Park. There are beautiful walks from East Brighton over the golf course toward Ovingdean.
6 x Swings, 3 x Slides, Roundabout, Wood Play House, Large Climbing Rope Tower and various Toddler equipment
Bins located throughout the playground and extended park, including pet waste bins, lots of green areas to explore with your children and picnic benches, a cafe, tennis court, playing pitches. The Playground is fully gated and secure.
Toilet in the cafe, camping site located to the north of the cafe.
East Brighton Park has parking available throughout which allows you access to the park. Park near the cafe if you want level access to the playground, there are some paths taking you to the playground. To be honest any great outdoor space like East Brighton park does cater for those with sensory needs, being around nature is very therapeutic and the work going on to encourage butterflies back to the area and conservation is really interesting. There is not much sensory equipment in the playground.
We would strongly recommend parents to join the Friends of East Brighton Park Group and Actively feedback the needs of your children to enable better access and inclusion!
